As Of Counsel to the firm, Ms. Jo handles all the firm's criminal matters.  Ms. Jo focuses her practice in the areas of criminal and family law. This unique perspective provides a comprehensive approach where Ms. Jo is not only able to competently handle cases in two separate areas of law but has an in-depth understanding of the complex effects of the intersection of the two, such as defending domestic violence charges for a client in a child custody case or minimizing the effects of client’s criminal case history on a pending adoption case. Especially for those clients who have both family law and criminal law issues, Ms. Jo is highly equipped to pursue an outcome most beneficial for the client.

Ms. Jo is a knowledgeable attorney who understands the pressure and stress when criminal charges have been filed against a client. From pre-file investigations through trial for both misdemeanors and felonies, Ms. Jo guides her clients through every steps of a case and represents them in courthouses throughout LA, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties.  Prior to joining the firm as Of Counsel, Ms. Jo was an associate with Aleshire & Wynder, and a Staff Attorney with the Huntington Beach City Attorney's Office.

Ms. Jo graduated from Loyola Law School. While pursuing her law degree on a full scholarship, Ms. Jo was selected as Managing Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Review, and was an intern for a federal magistrate judge.  Ms. Jo also had the rare opportunity to begin her criminal law career while in law school, as an intern in the Los Angeles office of the Federal Public Defender and as part of a year-long program, representing children with criminal cases in the Los Angeles County juvenile system.

Accepted into an accelerated dual degree program, Ms. Jo received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics in the same year from the University of Southern California, cum laude. Prior to attending USC, Ms. Jo served her country as a cadet at the prestigious United States Military Academy at West Point.
